This section explains how to send a fax and the special methods of transmission.
You can place the originals use either the DSDF or the scanner glass. If the originals are placed on both the DSDF and the scanner glass, the machine will read the originals on the DSDF first, because it has higher scan priority. |
In some countries, you are required by law to specify your fax number on any fax you send.
Tap
> > on the display screen.Tap the
input box. The pop-up keyboard appears.Enter your name or the company name (see Understanding the pop-up keyboard).
Tap

input box.Enter your fax number using the numeric keypad on the control panel.
Tap
.Tap or select other settings.
Place the originals face up in the DSDF or place a single original face down on the scanner glass and close the DSDF (see Loading originals).
Tap
from the home screen or .Adjust the document settings in the
tab or tab.Tap and enter a fax number directly using on the screen, then tap or using
, , , tap from the display screen.

Tap to start the process.

When you are prompted to enter a destination number for your fax, you can use a speed dial number previously set by you.

If the line is busy or there is no answer when you send a fax, the machine automatically redials the number.
To change the time interval between redials and/or the number of redial attempts, follow the steps below:
Tap
> > on the display screen.You can set your machine to send a fax at a later time (see General fax settings).
To cancel a delayed fax, tap before it is sent. |
