If you have connected your machine to a network and set up TCP/IP network parameters correctly, you can manage the machine via SyncThru™ Web Service. Use SyncThru™ Web Service to:
View the machine’s device information and check its current status.
Change TCP/IP parameters and set up other network parameters.
Change the printer preference.
Set the email notifications advising of the machine’s status.
Get support for using the machine.
Upgrade machine software.
You need one of the following web browsers to use SyncThru™ Web Service.
Internet Explorer® 8.0 or higher
Chrome 27.0 or higher
FireFox 21.0 or higher
Safari 5.9.1 or higher
Access a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, from Windows.
Enter the machine IP address of your printer (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) in the address field and press the Enter key or click
.Your machine’s embedded website opens.
Before configuring options in SyncThru™ Web Service, you need to log-in as an administrator. You can still use SyncThru™ Web Service without logging in but you won’t have access to tab and tab.
Click SyncThru™ Web Service website.

and then click . Type in the below default ID and password. We recommend you to change the default password for security reasons.:

This tab gives you general information about your machine. You can check things, such as remaining amount of toner. You can also print reports, such as an error report.
: Shows the alerts that have occurred in the machine and their severity.
: Shows how many pages are printed and amount of toner left in the cartridge.
: Shows the usage count by print types: simplex and duplex.
: Shows the machine’s and network’s information.
Security Information: Shows the current security settings of the machine and network.
: Prints reports such as system related reports and font reports.
This tab allows you to set configurations provided by your machine and network. You need to log-in as an administrator to view this tab.
: Sets options provided by your machine.
: Shows options for the network environment. Sets options such as TCP/IP and network protocols.
This tab allows you to set system and network security information. You need to log-in as an administrator to view this tab.
: Sets the system administrator’s information and also enables or disables machine features.
: Sets settings for HTTPs, IPSec, IPv4/IPv6 filtering, and 802.1x.
This tab allows you to maintain your machine by upgrading firmware and setting contact information for sending emails. You can also connect to Samsung website or download drivers by selecting the menu.
: Upgrade your machine’s firmware.
: The version number of the MIB(Management Information Base).
: You can enable or disable the Wi-Fi menu.
: Shows the contact information.
: Shows links to useful sites where you can download or check information.
This setting is necessary for using the e-mail notification option.
Start a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, from Windows.
